I am Ari H. Scott, an experienced concert cellist, event musician, and composer and arranger for classical music and video games. I hold a Bachelors of String Performance and Pedagogy from Illinois Wesleyan University, and a Masters of Music from DePaul University.
I have worked with clients such as the Chicago Children's Museum and Chicago Center for Food Equity in Medicine as a solo event cellist, and have years of experience performing at weddings both as a string quartet and a solo musician. I am always happy to take on new clients!
I regularly perform in string quartets, quintets, and other ensembles. I often perform around chicago at different venues such as Epiphany Center for the Arts and Fulton Street Collective. You can hear this and some of my other solo and chamber performances under the "Performance Portfolio" tab.
On the concert stage, I perform with different orchestras, including several concerts with the Illinois Symphony in the past season. In the summer of 2023, I was also an orchestra member and Orchestra Manager for Chautauqua Institution.
I am also a soundtrack composer and studio musician for video games. Most recently, I have written the soundtrack to a Tactical RPG rogue-like game, as well as many chiptune tracks and other games, all on my YouTube channel.
In addition to soundtracks, I also have years of experience writing classical music for the stage. Most recently, I have began a concert series of new music, including my own, recent composers, and others, playing at the Fulton Street Collective and other venues. I also have many new projects in the works!
